Reinventing Manufacturing Through XR-Based Skill Transfer and AI

This session explores how XR and AI technologies are transforming skill transfer and manufacturing processes in the face of global workforce shortages. Osamu Oji will introduce "SHUGI", an innovative system that enables real-time sharing of expert techniques through spatial computing devices, allowing skills to be transmitted beyond physical and geographical limitations.

The presentation will highlight how XR-based remote collaboration can enhance productivity, reduce training time, and enable new forms of digital manufacturing. By integrating AI and real-time feedback, the system supports intuitive learning and preserves tacit knowledge that is traditionally difficult to document.

Through real-world use cases and future perspectives, this talk will demonstrate how combining XR, AI, and manufacturing can create a new paradigm for global industry.
